Good to Be Greek — We Sat Down with Anna Prokos to Talk Olive Oil, Family, and the Kores Estate

We had the pleasure of sitting down with Anna Prokos on her podcast Good to Be Greek to share the story behind Olive Crate. From the ancient groves of the Kores Estate in the Argolis region of Greece, to the cold-pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil that makes its way to your table.

Kores Estate Single Estate PRO Manaki Olive oil Bottle

We talked about what it means to grow up with this land. We discussed why the Manaki olive variety is so rare and special. We also talked about how our family's commitment to farming without pesticides or chemicals has shaped everything we do, from the way we harvest to the way we bottle.

We got honest about the challenges of running a fully import-based business too. Navigating customs, shipping, and regulations is no small feat. But getting a premium product from a small Greek estate into the hands of customers thousands of miles away is worth every bit of it.

The Kores Estate has been in the family for generations. The trees are old, the soil is rich, and the olives are pressed within hours of harvest. This preserves every drop of flavour and nutrition. No blending. No shortcuts. Just olives, a state-of-the-art press, and generations of know-how.

Anna asked all the right questions. She gave us the space to talk about the why behind Olive Crate, not just the what. It was a conversation we really enjoyed, and we hope you do too.

If you've ever wondered what goes into every bottle of Olive Crate, this is the story behind it.
